Hello to another fab week here @petworthpopup we hope you all had a lovely weekend.
It’s the fab time of the month again when we get to formally introduce to you our #makerofthemonth and this month it’s beautiful and full of sunshine @indigoprawn 🦐🛍️

I began my artistic career studies at The City and Guilds of London Art School where I specialised in Printmaking specifically Lithography. During this time, I was awarded the Printing Prize by Sir Roger De Grey, President of the Royal Academy and chosen to design a Christmas card for the Fishmongers Guild. After graduating from Art School, I trained to become a Montessori teacher in London alongside teaching Art. During which time I continued to draw and paint, taking commissions for Portraits of Dogs and Children. In 2002 my husband and I were craving the countryside, and we moved to Midhurst, West Sussex. I continued to paint and exhibited at Midhurst Gallery where I also worked.have a great love of nature, which pushed me to feed this love and apply for a job in a garden centre. There I spent 8 happy years working as house plant manager where I used my creative talents to not only display, buy and care for the plants but become involved in the giftware department as a buyer. I loved it!
In 2011 we moved to Singapore for my husband’s job. It was here where I reconnected with my creative talent. I was inspired by the vivid colours and unique light that permeated the Island. The company began after creating an image for friend a to remind her of her time in Asia. This inspired me to look at the unique Asian symbols around all around me. From this I developed my Lanterns, Ginger Jars and Pineapple series which have since become icons of INDIGO PRAWN. My designs are mainly hand painted in ink or linocut prints, with the images reflecting various aspects of the local Asian culture and the Sea, another of my passions. @indigoprawn @petworthpopup

Happy hump day 🛍️💛🙌 and with the bank holiday the week is just flying by! So we just had a lovely top up from the gorgeous @karla.decor which highlighted how much gorgeousness we have in the shop, for those all important little people in our lives!
So here is a peak at some of the unique gifts you can find in the garden room for those tiny people 🛍️💛

Hello to a new week! We hope you all had a lovely 3 day weekend 🛍️🙏 it was another busy one here in the shop! 🙏🛍️
So we have had a day in the shop and I lost Cathy to her favourite thing is to have a good old “titivate” (I have learnt over the years just to leave her to it! 🤣😉) 🛍️

Yay to May 🛍️💛 how are we in the 5 month of the year already! 🥴🧐
So it’s that time when we have a new #makerofthemonth and we are so pleased to bring to you on this very sunny day, the sunniest of makers @indigoprawn with her incredible and happiest of textile designs, to get your kitchen bright and cheery! From chopping boards, to the best lobster 🦞 oven gloves to 🍤 prawn inspired tea towels and lots more!
Do pop in and have a look 👀 as my TikTok skills are dragging. I’m not even sure how I added a sparkle to it! Mental note next time get my 12 year old daughter to make it for me! 🤪 @indigoprawn @petworthpopup

Hello - it’s been another gorgeous day and we have had so much gorgeous newnesses arrive in the upstairs boutique! Including summer dresses and jackets from @saneymi a whole host of summerness from @swansandswifts including the MOST comfortable dungarees and trousers - then a well needed top up from the fab @lulufern_home with her kantha jackets and waistcoats!! So do pop in and see the nearly finished staircase 🥴😬 (note don’t wear your best comfys to paint in! Again!) yes Cathy of course didn’t spill a spot! 🧐 however I like to think my spillages are a reflection of my creativity 😬🛍️

New signs are done and out! 🙌🛍️ thank you @steeplegraphics and it’s another glorious start to the week! We have lots of top ups made today and the first coat of pink paint is complete on the staircase to the boutique! Just the wallpaper to finish and the joyful task of painting the banisters and doors! So another busy week @petworthpopup HQ 🛍️🌸☀️ happy Monday you lovely lot

Hello 🤪 gosh it feels a long time! I just found the Easter post in drafts🤦‍♀️ what do they say…. Parent like you don’t work… work like you don’t parent! So with the Easter holidays done I just have GCSE’s in the house to contend with!

It’s all go here with lots of lovely top ups are being made by our gorgeous stockists including the fab whistling kettles from the gorgeous @enamelhappy and tomorrow Cathy and I will be attempting in true C&G style a staircase makeover leading to the @petworthpopup boutique. (I.E do it all in a day and we haven’t even chosen the paint yet!) 🥹🥴

The joys of the Easter holidays and birthday treats! With the boutique now all under one roof we feel it’s allot easier now to show you the clothing side of things on here too and to keep you better informed! It’s Day 12 of our introductions and last but not least! 🌮🍰☕️And a very important one! As who doesn’t need a good cup of coffee a slice of cake or a bite to eat for lunch! And we have the very best for you!

First up we have our totally gorgeous @pull.andpour who might still be recovering from our first Christmas sell out Market! Selling the most delicious ethically sourced coffee and homemade cakes, she will ensure you are refuelled to do the all-important thing of shopping. Then to ensure those sugar levels are kept up and savoury cravings are met we have the wonderful @lisas_luscious_bakes with her sell out cookie pie and melt in the mouth millionaire shortbread! Yum yum yum! Then there is lunch to be had, and all your drink needs to be met! It’s all in safe hands as we have the brilliant @bubblesandbites.uk who will be serving up deeeelious! Loaded nachos piled with a selection of toppings as well as keeping you hydrated and the option of cheeky tipple too!

So it’s the last day of introductions of our makers and think you will agree we have an incredible selection, and we still have another trio to go! First up and new to our markets is @andrewharrisartist Andrew is a contemporary artist based here in West Sussex. Passionate about the British wildlife and conservation of it. Andrew draws this into his work with much of his paintings showcasing their beauty, so we are really looking forward to seeing his work. Next up is the ever so lovely @shallowpottery living on the edge of the South Downs her focus is to craft functional stoneware pottery, which is characterised by clean simple lines, using glazing techniques that creates toasty hues of the clay to emerge making them a beautiful one-off piece. Then last of the makers of this spring makers market is the very lovely @lindavineart who gets inspired from her time outdoors where she takes inspiration from the sounds, scents and shift in light of the coast and countryside incorporating and conveying this through her painting. Linda will be bringing a selection of originals and prints so we are more than looking forward to seeing her and her beautiful work! 🛍️🌸

We are just now only a couple more introductions to go! Then the countdown will begin! But for now we have another talented trio of makers who are all new to taking part in our Markets to introduce– we are pleased to start todays introductions with the @catherineclaasenceramics who is freelance art educator as well as creating her own unique ceramics where she adapts form by mixing elements of hand building and throwing creating pots that you can hold making them look and feel interesting so we are both looking forward to this, next is the lovely @dianedenhamdesigns although new to our markets you can find her beautiful makes in our Pop Up shop. Diane will be bringing a whole array of bags, purses and accessories all designed and made by herself, you will often find a bit of sparkle within her ranges making the world a brighter place. As well as her own fabric creations Diane has created her own fabric designs which have now transferred onto tea-towels, purses and more. Then last for today is the lovely @nattydeco and something truly lovely and a bit different! @nattydeco has created a range of birchwood flowers, paper cut cards and seasonal decorations only using sustainable, natural materials and eco friendly paints, a perfect fit for a Spring Makers Market!

Good mid morning 🤪 🛍️🌸 (where do the mornings go!) – and we are now just under a week away! This time almost next week we will be busy starting the setup to this fantastic weekend where you can shop and eat from over 40 UK independent makers and eateries!! What better way to kick off the Easter Holidays!
Today’s fab four are another incredible bunch! Starting with the gorgeous gorgeous @shingleshedjewellery making the most truly unique pieces of sea glass jewellery sourced and foraged by Amanda herself along the beautiful West Sussex coastline making for something really special, we next have the very lovely and very talented @sarahreffittfineartist with her beautiful fine art inspired by Sea Life and animals you will get the opportunity to purchase both originals and prints, then both new to our markets and we very much looking forward to smelling the range of fab candles from @theburningbrightcandle who have created a range of handmade pinch pots filling them with a unique blend of essential oils and soy wax topped off with a crystal and pressed flower! Then last for today is the lovely @ivygracejewellery who we are excited to have join us with her delicate pearl and gemstone jewellery. First for today is our very own (well we like to think so) girl Friday with her incredible skincare @mukkiskincare made right here in Petworth. Vicky uses the freshest ingredients creating a range particularly suitable to pre- and post-menopausal women so this is a must try! Next, we have the fab @vickihunt.artist with her beautiful ceramics and artwork where she creates both alongside each other based in the Southdowns’ we are very much looking forward to seeing what she will be bringing! Next is the lovely @flossiehuntillustration Flossie is a freelance illustrator based in the Surrey Hills. Inspired by her surroundings, particular colour and nature as well as cleanliness almost graphic like. Who will be selling her stationery, prints and an opportunity to order commissions. Then last for today is the wonderful @pennysandersonart who is a botanical painter, mural artist and painter who has created an ever- expanding homeware range of her own designs with all products made here in the UK ensuring of the highest quality – so we are even more looking forward to this incredible weekend. 🌸🛍️🙌

Hello to day 7 🌸🛍️of our introductions and let’s hope today I get everything right today! So first up and its defiantly defiantly the lovely @rachelreynoldstextiles who creates unique collections from her Hampshire studio inspired by nature and architecture she creates beautiful textiles, homewares and stationery. Next up is now we are pleased to call her our friend the gorgeous @saneymi who has attended our markets and is in both the shop and the boutique @saneymi creates small batch textiles printed on cotton using natural dyes from napkins to dressing gowns which are truly special. Now more newness to the market as we are pleased to welcome @kimedith Stitchbook Studio a textile artist specialising in a handmade range of artwork and fabric gifts, which she has lovingly created a new craft of merging textile crafts with scrapbooking which we are so looking forward to seeing. Then last for today is the @thesoldersmith a unique jewellery design business nestled in Kent handcrafting from 100% recycled metals creating bold and distinctively different jewellery for individuals who are never meant to blend in!
Well, that’s a whole lot of handmade goodness for today and another 4 for tomorrow to introduce!

Eeeek in true Georgie style I managed earlier to use the lovely @rachelreynoldstextiles images for the lovely @morrisprints 🥴😬 note to self slow down! So huge apologies to both 🙏

So second time lucky and happy Monday Eve! So again! We are starting off todays instructions with the lovely @woodslennon Janet has been attending our fairs and was in the shop right from the start selling her truly wonderful one off prices of sliver jewellery which would truly make a wonderful gift for someone special. Then we have the gorgeous @jemimapuddleduckdesigns1 with her fab makes - making the most beautiful seasonal decorations, wash-bags, sawing kits and the brilliant ouch pouches and what makes them even more special is that 100% of all her sales goes to the wonderful @harrisonsfund so we are so pleased she is attending and we can give her this platform to help support such an amazing cause. Then two newbies to our markets first is the wonderful @joskitchenhampshire and something a bit different. Jo has lovingly created nut and seed based seasoning sprinkle pots to enhance your food. Using where possible only organic whole ingreidants which we cant wait to try! then next is @morrisprints this is some truly stunning stationary inspired by chinoiserie, wildlife and birds they have created a beautiful range of prints, greeting cards and home accessories.

Hello Sunday 🌸🛍️– can you believe it’s now less than 2 weeks till this fabulous event and we will already be halfway through this incredible two-day maker’s market! So, we better get on with those all-important introductions.
First up is the wonderful @the.hedgerow.alchemist with her incredible textiles from scarves to socks all dyed only using plants and flowers – this is such a beautiful lost form of naturally dying its defiantly a stall not to be missed, next and new to our pop up and one I am excited about, as when I had my shop I used to stock her beautiful candles and diffusers is the gorgeous @beau.candles – all hand poured locally using soy base and they smell incredible. Then we have the wonderful @aliciarose_designs with her stunning textile homeware, fashion and accessories which are so beautifully handprinted inspired by tonal colours and ombre designs and the beauty of imperfection which we know you will just love! And then the last of today’s intros is the wonderful @homemadehollydays with a whole array of makes from nature inspired resin chopping boards, to echo friendly greeting cards – with a portion of the proceeds going to charity so just a win win purchase.

First up today is the gorgeous @hannahissi who has been with Pop Up from the start, taking part in all our markets and even our shop – she is a Brighten based designer renowned for bold nature inspired homewares, accessories and bags. Which are sustainability made here in the UK. Next up and new to our markets is @oarsam Hampshire based they have cleverly created a range of practical gifts using recycled sailing cloths! We are so excited to see these! And perfect for the up-and-coming summer months. Then last for today we have the wonderful @tawny_owl_wood with her enchanting children’s books for children ranging from 0 to 12 and we know she will have creative things to entice those little people to share her wonderful stories which are beautifully illustrated for you on the day.

Hello to day two of our introductions!! And have we got another incredible set of four talented makers to showcase to you. First up for today is the stunning @jayneluscombe who makes the most beautiful silver jewellery adding enamel and gemstones creating accents to her one of kind pieces. Then we have the wonderful @labrdorandmore with the best body butters! (I have never used anything different since being introduced to them) and beautiful handmade vegan friendly soaps made in small batches ensuring they are the best! Next is the gorgeous mother and daughter duo @elleandyay decorations inspiring you to have crackers all year round adding the finish touch to a summer table of picnic and the most unique and lovely way to wrap that special someone a gift. Last for today is what I think is so beautifully kitsch! Cathy and I both purchased one of Gail’s Christmas displays so we are looking forward to what she will bring to spring! with her ornamental creations @gailnoondesigns

Hello to and to a new week 🛍️and what a month this is – and now we are more than excited to be starting off our introductions for this year’s 2025 Spring Makers Market in partnership with our friends at @petworthnt which will be held across the 5th & 6th of April within the grounds of one of the most spectacular National Trust properties.

So, let’s get going and the first fab four are – the fab @allwoodhere with her stunning wooden creations from ornaments, chopping boards to candle holders using all reclaimed and disused pieces of wood. Next up is the happiest of happy the @enamelhappy with the most gorgeous brightly coloured enamel ware and homewares – defiantly in perfect timing with the warmer weather with picnics and camping on the horizon. Then we have the beautiful @firedlinestudios with her stunning handmade ceramics inspired by the English countryside and natural world from yummy mugs, tumblers, vases and lots more. Then last up for today is the beautiful @fusedglassbydonna whose work was inspired when she received a fused glass wedding gift – then years later learnt this incredible craft making glass jewellery, ornaments, sun catchers and lots more.

And what a glorious day it’s looking! I’m off to walk Lavender in #petworthpark shortly, which is just a tiny bit further than a stones throw from the shop! Which I’m always forever grateful for how lucky we are to live and work somewhere so beautiful! But before I go! It’s that wonderful time of the month to formally introduce our #makerofthemonth the brilliant @artworksbychar who has been part of the shop since we opened. Her “Bottoms of the animal kingdom” has now become legendary and a firm favourite and the best talking point with our gorgeous customers! So without further ado introducing @artworksbychar

I started doing this when I was asked to. First a Tolkien style map for my husband’s hobbity parents, then more maps, then animals, then more animals. Families, friends and total strangers have suggested more ideas: their parents in their favourite spot in the garden, a pet cat playing PlayStation, two beloved Shih Tzus begging to go on holiday. Steadily a style heavily influenced by nature, stories and people’s idiosyncrasies and charm emerged and people kept asking for more. So here I am, living in Lewes; one cat, one husband, one toddler & an acting career to keep me busy. I love drawing on people’s characters to illustrate their ideas, thoughts and memories. When not doing this, I draw and illustrate my own work. I hope you like it as much as I enjoy doing it. @artworksbychar @petworthpopup

Hello March 💛 hello Spring 🌸🛍️
The door is able to be open a little bit more 🤞
So it’s a new month so we have a new maker of the month! This month we are so pleased to bring to you @artworksbychar with her one of a kind greeting cards and prints! Including the infamous “Bottoms of the animal kingdom” which we know hangs on many a customers kids bedroom wall or downstairs toilet 🛍️🙌 which one is your favourite bottom? 🧐🤣 (mines the hamster)🐹 have a gorgeous Spring Sunday.

Well it certainly spread allot of Happiness over the last year and half 🙌🛍️❤️

Today we closed the doors to our No6 High-street shop as we move @petworthpopup_boutique to our main shop in Golden Square. We will be forever grateful for this bricks and mortar space, which gave us the platform to promote so many incredible independent businesses. We have had over 200 stockist come through these doors, selling and showcasing their incredible work and makes, so a BIG thank you to each and everyone of you for being part of this journey and long may it continue with our Golden Square shop and amazing markets.

It’s been a lovely Saturday in town today with the farmers market on. I had a quick walk around! Our gorgeous neighbour’s @guiltlingerie are having one of their infamous sales! Hello February- yes we made it through 31 days of January 🙏🛍️
So we are back to our incredible #makersofthemonth and this month we are so pleased to properly introduce to you the beautiful @mawgans with their beautiful scented candles, room diffusers and more! @mawgans have an incredible range of scents with new ones being added throughout the year as the seasons change.
