Happy hump day! How is it Wednesday already 🤪
Cathy and I still feel like we playing catch up!

So finally! We wanted to introduce to you our new team at Golden Square 🙏🛍 we feel totally blessed that we were able to take on the wonderful ladies who worked previously @oakappletradingco Lin - Who has been there from the start when it first opened 30 years ago and Emma & Maria too who have both been there for some time! Therefore these ladies really know their thing and have been sooo helpful in showing and giving us all the tips and tricks to running this beautiful building so well! They have all embraced the new till system and meeting and greeting our stockists - new and old and have lovingly embraced the change 🛍🙏

We both couldn’t be more grateful for having such a wonderful team! Roll on the Christmas party!! 💕🛍💃

How we are in our second week already of both shops 🛍🙏
So here is a very tiny tiny peak - as we have so much more! of our designated children’s room! Bursting with gifts for new borns to tweenies! Think this has to be one of our favourite spaces - to be fair I say that about every part of the shop 🤪🤦‍♀️🛍 have a gorgeous evening all 🛍

And what a first week!!! Despite the rain!! 🤪 we have had the best first week in both shops 🙏! All our incredible staff are now fully trained on our till system - and can’t be more grateful to have taken on the wonderful staff here @oakappletradingco who are just all so lovely and brilliant and what they do - looking forward to introducing them properly next week.

Can you believe my winter boots even made an appearance too 🤦‍♀️🛍 how that is the case in September but I was not alone! So many lovely customers in their winter coats yesterday and today!

What a first Monday in both shops! 🛍❤️💃

Between showing the gorgous Maria our till system and serving customers, I just about managed to take a couple of photos - so badly! I thought I’d share this one this evening of Charles & Emily!! Two happy pooches who were just to cute not to share! 🐕🐾which I looked after so their owners could leisurely peruse our upstairs showroom! (Dedicated children’s gift room and a landing full of art and lighting) 🛍

So yes we are more than dog friendly too in the new space! 🐾🐕

What a difference ok not a day but just shy of 5!
Hence the total lack of photos and my long standing count down tradition went out the window 🤪
I don’t think either of us have Eva worked so bloody hard! But boy it’s been worth it!

Drank coffee to give us the energy that was well needed for a days unpacking ✔️

First stage of shelves put up @petworthpopup_boutique by lovely Jeff the builder ✔️

Painted shelves so Jeff can fix the railings for the beautiful clothing ✔️

More unpacking and checking in new stockist at Golden square ✔️

Finished by admin and dinner 🍽️ ✔️

Now bed! And allot more tomorrow 🛍❤️💪

Here we are testing out what was my lovely surprise from the work wife! Our new office chairs! 😜 and Cathy being Cathy and forever the bargain hunter got our extremely corporate chairs for FREE! 🙏 as much as we have allot of fun and are both so incredibly lucky to get to do what we do, we are also extremely passionate about soon to be both our shops making them the best they possibly can be to showcase, sell and promote all of our incredible makers and their businesses! It’s official - we are putting it out there! Which are such an incredible platforms to so many incredible independent businesses! And of course bubbles will be served all day long! So it’s that wonderful time of the month where we formally introduce to you our #makerofthemonth and this month we have the fantastic @abbys_art_atelier

@abbys_art_atelier I’m Abby, I run and make all products for Abby’s Art Atelier. I’m a Fashion graduate who loves to create beautiful things.
Since graduating I started creating stunning jewellery!
My jewellery is handmade and limited edition made with love and care by me!
My love for creating started with fashion and sewing and has developed into so much more.

I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer and for people to feel fabulous in my clothes, which has expanded into jewellery and accessories.

So that’s how I started Abby’s Art Atelier.

Last this year I finished the Prince’s Trust Entrepreneur Programme and became a Prince’s Trust-supported business.
I really love using polymer clay to create clay earrings and necklaces and then introducing resin too to create some interesting and beautiful textures and pieces. I love to try mixed media techniques, and I hope in the next year I can start to introduce different materials and even more techniques. @abbys_art_atelier @petworthpopup

So the busyness starts! Starting with new logos which are now being used! With the count down on - what do you think?
We are going to also trial a separate Instagram account for the boutique to try and get more content to you and help make things hopefully a bit clearer as to what’s in both shops! Note the word “trial” 😬 so do start following both accounts as we would be so grateful to give @petworthpopup_boutique (don’t even go there as why there is an _ in the name! Instagram is currently not my friend lol) 🤦‍♀️🤪🛍

So the next chapter begins! 🛍❤️💃💃

What a hump day hey?! Just have to learn the alarm code now! 🤪😝 🚨

The count down is officially on! We are beyond excited and nervous (and still feeling like we are just playing shops! 👯‍♀️)

A huge thank you to Ben & Tamsin from @oakappletradingco to entrusting us with this incredible building, which they will continue to be a part of as they will be trading from the beautiful garden room - so you can purchase all your favourite @oakappletradingco homewares, gifts & furniture! We will be taking over the main floors and filling it to the brim with so many incredible products from our wonderful makers and artists! There will even be a whole floor just for kids clothing, toys and accessories. Then in the autumn, we plan to open up the bottom showroom floor for workshops and classes. Not to mention (again) turning our gorgeous no6 high street into a @petworthpopup clothing boutique! And did we mention all this will be done by the 31st of August! Nothing like a good bit of pressure to be under!! 🤪👯‍♀️🤪👯‍♀️

So over the weekend one of those memories popped up on my Facebook of when I posted about our first Eva market! And just made me realise how far we have come in just over 3 years! And where we are going! 💃💃🛍
So this morning I looked back over my photos thinking it be a quick 5 minute job with a cuppa! An hour and half later! 🤦‍♀️😜 and I have just literally touched on in this reel of what we have achieved!
Starting out as a monthly market in the towns @leconfieldhall then getting the opportunity to work with @chichesterdc not long after we got asked to work and host @petworthnt annual Christmas market - before we took the plunge at getting our first bricks and mortar shop - then to this week we are about to take on the biggest challenge yet of taking on and working with @oakappletradingco running another shop which spans over 3 floors! While transforming our special space in what will be a @petworthpopup clothing boutique! So just wanted to say to any of you dreaming BIG keep believing as what we set out to achieve has grown beyond both of ours expectations! And we are so privileged to work with so many incredible makers and independent businesses as well as creating the most special team who allow us to keep dreaming big!
There is still time to apply for both shops before the big opening! So if you’re looking to take the plunge into the retail world we would love to hear from you! Hello August 🛍💃 ☀️
And what a gorgeous start to the month we are having! We are a little late on everything! First missing yesterday was infact the 1st of August! 🤦‍♀️ and now it will be another week until we get the keys to what will be our second shop as they do some all important building work - the downside to these beautiful old buildings is the love ❤️ they constantly need!

Evie will be working Saturdays and helping out cover extra days. She is currently studying fashion & business at Brighton university 🤓 so is very excited with the shop soon to become a “clothing boutique” and we are very pleased to have her part of the team.

Schools nearly out for the Summer💃🙌🛍
Hands up if your children are not finishing till next Tuesday 😔😭 and unlike me up until yesterday you didn’t think it was Friday they were breaking up 😱🤦‍♀️
Any how’s to the point! We have so much gorgeous children inspired gifts in shop! If they undoubtedly deserve a little treat we have so many wonderful gifts for them! And why you’re here you can then you can at your leisure shop yourself! Lavender is proving as a very popular form of child distraction allowing grown ups to shop! And infact distraction to anyone that walks past her! 🤣🐶🐾

Hello Saturday and here is a tiny corner of this beautiful town which is home to @petworthpopup shop soon to be shops!
The town is a bustle this weekend with @festival_of_speed which we are fortunate enough to be on route too! We just trying to choose our next car! 🤥😜💸
Couldn’t resist either taking a quick pic of what was my first home here in town - when I moved here many moons ago with my gorgeous baby boy (now 15 and allot taller than me) (above what is now @forestgalleryfineart ) and just to think all these years on to what my little life is now this 🙌🤸💃 right moving on 🤦‍♀️🤪

Hello Thursday - and it’s that special time again, when we properly introduce to you this months #makerofthemonth and how could we not choose @julystudiocreations for July 🛍💛 with her absolutely stunning makes which we have here in our shop! They really are unique and would make such a special gift! 💝

@julystudiocreations I’m Emily, owner & designer of July Studio. I have always had a passion for creativity and hand-making items.
One day, during the 2020 lockdown, I was intrigued by a TikTok video of someone making polymer clay earrings. It looked super fun, so I decided to give it a go. I loved the freedom of being able to create any design I wanted as there is so much creative potential with polymer clay.
I enjoyed it so much that I decided to start my own earrings journey and opened an Etsy store in November 2020.
It started as a hobby in my spare time but is now a growing small business.
A key motivator is getting customer feedback and hearing how my creations make customers feel. This support drives me and keeps me making more and more!
My goal is to keep growing July Studio to bring my creations to as many earring lovers as possible! @julystudiocreations @petworthpopup

Hello Saturday!!! So, the exciting news you have all been waiting for!..........

So, what was once a little market starting out with just 11 stalls is now expanding into TWO shops! Our precious flagship store No6 High Street is going to become “Petworth Pop Up Boutique” with amazing fashion, jewellery, and accessories. Then for all the other wonderful makers they will be heading over to our NEW shop in Golden Square, which is currently known as @oakappletradingco , spanning over 3 floors and 5 rooms! Oakapple Trading will remain a part of this new venture, which as you can agree is going to be so exciting for both parties and we are so pleased to keep @oakappletradingco – still Trading!!

And if that wasn’t enough excitement the first floor of the shop will become a dedicated children’s clothing, toys and accessories, plus lots more! In the basement we will be designing a space for creatives and artists to host their very own workshops and classes!
Right, we off for a lie down………. lol just kidding, you should see our to-do lists - Let the Summer of fun commence! There will be a brief closure of both shops in late August and then we will be aiming to re-open up both shops by the 31st August! So get your party shoes on!
