How To Find the Market
Our Christmas Makers Market is taking place in the Battery House, Marquee and outside areas set in the grounds of Petworth House National Trust. You can access the Battery House & Marquee via the Petworth House Car Park or through the House if you are visiting the whole grounds - or if you are coming from Petworth Town off of North Street leading you directly to the Battery House - all will be wheelchair, buggy and dog friendly. Please note this is a FREE event but normal admissions apply to enter the main house.

I’ve been a crafter all my life, in the last decade I’ve concentrated on designing and making Nordic Gnomes which I fell in love with in the 1970’s! After having cancer I stepped back from a stressful job and concentrated on making Gnomes from natural products. The Gnomes are individual, quirky and fun! They come into their own at Christmas but remember, “a Gnome is for life not just Christmas”! Commissions are also taken on.

All my work is created by hand using traditional methods; dip pens, inks, watercolour paints, crayons and beautiful art papers from the UK and Italy. I use gold and silver metallic paints, silver leaf and pure gold leaf in some of my pieces.

Jago’s Tribe was created by me, Tahli, after my son Jago was born in July 2025. Like so many new parents, having Jago completely changed my perspective, and when I started looking for clothes for him, I found myself frustrated by the lack of colourful, beautifully designed clothing for boys.
I wanted to create pieces that were not only beautiful, but practical too — lightweight, breathable and comfortable enough for little adventurers. Jago’s Tribe is also deeply rooted in my love of wildlife and the natural world. We donate £1 from every item sold to wildlife conservation projects, helping to protect the animals and habitats that inspired Jago’s Tribe in the first place. We also have our Rejoin the Tribe pre-loved initiative, because we want to encourage more conscious choices and reduce waste wherever we can.
Jago’s Tribe is a small family business inspired by one little boy, but created for families who love adventure, value quality and want to leave the world a little better than they found it.

Made by Millis with Love was born from my love of beautiful fabrics, thoughtful design and creating practical handmade gifts that people genuinely use every day. I particularly adore working with Liberty Tana Lawn. Its timeless prints and beautifully soft feel make it the perfect fabric for creating pieces that are both elegant and comfortable.
My collection includes fully adjustable Liberty Tana Lawn headbands, designed to be as comfortable as they are stylish, as well as make-up bags with a waterproof base because beautiful things should be practical too. I also create facial care packs featuring reusable make-up remover pads made from antibacterial bamboo, paired with incredibly soft bamboo wadding for a luxurious feel against the skin.
One of my favourite creations is my Magic Pillow. New for 2026, they are extra-long for even greater comfort. Each pillow has a Liberty Tana Lawn front with a soft bamboo reverse, and inside is a handmade pillow sewn into three individual sections to keep the filling evenly distributed. Every pillow is filled with natural linseed and fragrant lavender grown in Lincolnshire, making them perfect for warming, cooling or simply relaxing after a busy day. Every item is handmade by me, with care, attention to detail, and, as the name promises, made with love.

Hand crafted from our own marzipan recipes, Marzilicious marzipan creations make the perfect treat or gift at Christmas. Coming in various festive shapes and flavours, these delicious confections are also vegan and gluten and dairy free.
Mousekins
Mousekins is a social enterprise dedicated to reducing landfill of surplus samples from the UK interiors Industry whilst helping tackle social isolation in the community. Mousekins makes practical homeware - doorstops, draught excluders, cushions and pouffes - with sewers referred by charity partner Fine Cell Work & supported by volunteers who help with all other elements of production. Founded by Isla Meynell in 2023 in Fulham, London, Mousekins is now based in Fittleworth, W Sussex where surplus fabrics are sent from companies like Fermoie, Cloth & Clover, Salveson Graham, Fiona Campbell Design and Todhunter Earle to be turned into high-quality homeware. Only using waste and not creating waste is paramount to Isla who spends much of her time shredding anything unsuitable to make all Mousekins stuffings. Mousekins is a fully circular business.

Nicky paints uplifting and elegant trees from her studio near Farnham in Surrey. Her paintings are inspired by the beauty of changing light through the leaves and branches at different times of the year, and the feelings that this evokes.
Her other works are intricate layered paper collages of figures or flowers, and are very much influenced by her love of textiles.
Nicky studied at Central St Martins (UAL) from 1989 - 1993, and exhibits in galleries and at art fairs in the UK and Europe.

Noble and Stace Chocolatiers began 12 years ago with the aim of creating small batches of beautiful chocolates by hand. That's still the way we work today, hand decorating every single chocolate, making our own fillings and keeping things a little more unique.
